North Croydon GP Enhanced Access Service
What is the North Croydon GP Enhanced Access service?
In order to improve patient access to a GP 8am-8pm, 7 days a week, NHS Croydon Clinical Commissioning Group has commissioned the Croydon GP Collaborative (CGPC) to set-up the North Croydon GP Enhanced Access service.
A flyer explaining the service and how to access it can be viewed here.
The service gives greater flexibility to patients who are registered with the following Practices:
|Auckland Surgery||Brigstock Family Practice||Brigstock & South Norwood Medical Partnership|
|Broughton Corner Medical Centre||Eversley Medical Centre||Fairview Medical Centre|
|Leander Family Practice||London Road Medical Centre||Mersham Medical Centre|
|Norbury Medical Practice||North Croydon Medical Practice||Parchmore Medical Practice|
|South Norwood Hill Medical Centre||South Norwood Medical Practice||Thornton Heath Medical Centre|
|Thornton Road Surgery||Upper Norwood Group Practice||Valley Park Surgery|
This service will be run from Brigstock Family Practice (click on the Practice name to be taken to their website) and will provide patients additional routine and same day appointments outside their normal Practice's opening hours. Please note: - Patients will continue to be registered at their normal GP Practice as this does not alter their registration.
How do I get an appointment?
GP and Nurse appointments can be booked by your own Practice up to two weeks in advance. The Doctors and Nurses you will see may not be your own so you will be asked to provide consent for them to view your medical records before an appointment will be given. If you are seeing the Nurse for dressings, you must take the dressings your Practice has prescribed you as they may not have the ones you require. Please note: - this is not a walk-in service for Urgent Care. For more information on Urgent Care Services, please click here.
How do I cancel an appointment?
If you are unable to attend your appointment it is important you let us know so we can offer the appointment to someone else. You can cancel your appointment by informing your own Practice during their normal opening hours or alternatively calling Brigstock Family Practice on 020 8689 7800.
What happens after my appointment if I need a follow-up or further care?
Your registered GP Practice and the Enhanced Access Service are linked electronically so that after your consultation a discharge summary will be sent. The management of any follow-up, onward referral or further medical care will remain with your registered GP Practice.
When is the service open?
The opening hours of the service are Monday - Friday 18.30-20.00 and Saturday 09.00-15.00.
